Well Done – An Unexpected Kindness

We came across this lovely story and wanted to share it with you, our chums 🙂

There are so many other ways this story could have gone. The person could have called out to man that he needed to get in line or just quietly been annoyed that the man cut in front of him. Or he could have secretly relished the he didn’t have his wallet just thinking he got what he deserved for jumping ahead, or he could have destained hime for being old and forgetful. But he did none of those. Despite how he might have thought about being cut in front of, he chose to be empathic and therefore to be kind.

Kindness of late, seems to be in short supply. You can change that by publicly and purposefully making the choice to be kind. Who knows, you might not single handedly be able to change the world, but you can change someone’s world, some one you don’t even know or maybe your own child or spouse, will have his or her world changed by receiving an unexpected kindness from you. After all God is reaching out and giving us those unexpected kindnesses everyday, so let’s choose to share that unexpected, and possibly unnerved kindness with someone we encounter, and pay it forward. Today is the perfect time to start.
