VERY Wise Words!

It is no secret that we live in contentious times. As November 3rd approaches there is no shortage of opinions and feelings about the coming elections.

It is important to know what you believe and why, and to be clear about what things you value and hold dear, and to be able to explain those convictions in clear and understandable ways when called on to do so.

But there is potential to have arguments erupt over any number of subjects between families, friends and even strangers. That is where these VERY wise words come in:

Heated arguing with others seldom, if ever, changes anyone’s mind, or brings them around to your point of view. Respectful, logical, and factual conversation on issues enlightens both parties involved, and helps to strengthen relationships, not tear them down. So next time you are tempted to go past defending your beliefs and join in an argument over your viewpoints, simply decline the “invitation”. And always, always be guided by love and filled with joy.
