Magic Pizza

“What makes it magic?” you may well be asking. You will be very surprised! No carbs and no cauliflower to start with…do we have your attention yet?

Foods that fall into the category of being Keto are in high demand of late. Being Keto simply means minimizing your carbs and upping your fats and protein to get your body to use fat as a form of energy.

All that aside this pizza uses simple ingredients, it’s very easy make, and soooo tasty! What’s not to like?!!!

This recipe uses ground chicken or ground turkey mixed with parmesan cheese and seasonings to make a completely 100% carb free crust. And it’s really delicious! One bite and my husband said “Wow! You can make this one a lot… This is a winner!”

Whether you’re interested in Keto foods or not, give this recipe a try. We are very confident that this will become a “go to” for a quick delicious lunch or dinner that, with a salad on the side, will make a very satisfying meal that pleases everyone. And of course it is also gluten free 🙂

Magic Pizza
Crust:
1 lb. ground chicken or turkey (turkey will make a slightly darker crust than chicken)
1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
1 clove of garlic finely minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Topping:
Pizza or marinara sauce
Mozzarella cheese, grated
Parmesan cheese, grated
Tomatoes
Basil leaves
Red pepper flakes (optional)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and spray with olive oil or baking spray.

Mix together the meat, 1 cup parmesan cheese, the garlic, and seasonings. Spread the meat mixture in a circle about 1/4 inch thick to form the “crust”.

Bake this in the 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. Remove the “crust” from the oven and top with pizza sauce and cheeses, as much or little as you prefer.

Return to oven for 7-10 minutes to melt and brown cheese.

When you remove the pizza from the oven top immediately with sliced cherry tomatoes and fresh basil leaves. Cut and serve…and of course ENJOY!
