For Those Disco Fans Out There…

Did you know that in 1980 for one year and for one year only, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences had a “Best Disco Recording” category?

Well, it did!  The Grammy went to “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor.

Certainly, for those of us who were listeners of music at that time, this song was (and still is) amazing!

Well done, Gloria Gaynor!  You not only received a Grammy but you received the ONLY Grammy ever awarded in that category.
