Back To School – LunchSkins For Our Munchkins

It is hard to believe but summer is coming to an end and everyone is going down the list of things to be done in order to be prepared for that first day of school.One of the many things on that list of “Back to School” is, yes, getting back into the mind set of preparing school lunches and snacks…..and, of course, something in which to carry those goodies.  If you are like a lot of people, the thought of using all those plastic baggies throughout the school year is not very appealing.  When, in 2008, Kirsten Quigley and Cris Bourelly heard that 20 million of the sandwich/snack bags end up in U.S. landfills every day, they were shocked (as are we!).    Being two people who love the outdoors, they were concerned about looking after and protecting it and set about to create a better solution to carry lunches to school for the modern-day family.

Thus, LunchSkins were born.  LunchSkins is a washable bag with a very strong velcro fastener that comes in many different, pretty colors and patterns

and is the perfect lunch or snack carrier for our precious little ones.  They can be found in many places including Target and online at Amazon.
