Alexandra or George?

10-pound-note

You know, the English love to bet.  They bet on all and anything!  So, it does not surprise us one bit that a lot of the English have placed money on whether the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, will have a girl or a boy and what they will name this precious baby.

The most popular names are Alexandra, if the baby is a girl and George if the baby is a boy.

With the “due date” apparently being the eleventh day of July, everything and everyone is in its right place, ready to receive this new darling.  The hospital, in London, is all prepared and is, in fact, the same hospital where the baby’s father, William, was born to Diana and Charles.  In the line up of royals to ascend the throne, William was the first to have been born in a hospital and not at a palace.

William plans on being present at the birth and will be a hands on Dad, according to all reports.  There is a helicopter at the ready to whisk him right into London to be at Catherine’s side as soon as he gets the word.

Once the baby arrives, William will have the pleasure of calling his grandmother, The Queen but they have agreed that if the baby comes during the middle of the night, he will not awaken her but will wait until the morning.

So, if you were a betting person, what would you say, boy or girl and what will this baby’s name be?

Like all of Britain, your Two Chums are on Baby Watch!  We are excited to hear the news and are staying tuned!
