Thankful GF Baking

As the holiday season approaches, we will all certainly be enjoying more treats and baked goods of all kinds. If you, or someone in your family has a problem with gluten, you know baking things that everyone can eat and that don’t taste like cardboard, can be a challenge. We have some good info for you today that just might help you with your (GF) gluten free baking needs.

Have patience with yourself as you try to convert your favorites recipes to be gluten free. Try different gluten free flour alternatives, there is no shortage of them out there. Two that we’ve found to be good tasting and easy to work with are Krusteaz GF All Purpose Flour and Cup4Cup Gluten Free Flour. These both may be available at your local grocery store, but if you can’t locate them, simply click on the names to take you to the ordering link on Amazon.

The Krusteaz is especially good for making quick breads, cookies and pancakes. The Cup4Cup is great for yeast breads, pastries and cakes, but also can be used in most any place you would use regular all purpose flour. These are just 2 of many, many options including some that you can make up yourself. If you have a particularly good GF flour be sure and share it with us, your online chums. We would love to hear from you. In the meantime, here’s to Happy Holidays with lots of Happy GF Baking!
