Remember Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Words!

Looking tanned and fit, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt arrives at the Capitol for his speech to the assembled members of Congress. He told a cheering audience to assume responsibility for underwriting future peace through world collaboration in the same non-partisan spirit that America wages war – or to “bear the responsibility for another world conflict.”

When Franklin Delano Roosevelt was sworn in on March 4, 1933, the country was in the midst of the Great Depression.
