Steakhouse Garlic Bread

Nothing compliments a great steak dinner like crunchy, chewy, cheesy garlic bread.

This bread can make your meal, or it can almost be a meal in itself, because once you start, it is hard to stop eating it…its that good! And the bonus is it is really easy to make up the garlic butter spread so you can make this yummy bread anytime. We used a gluten free baguette but you can use any French, sourdough, or multigrain baguette you like.

Steakhouse Garlic Bread
1 baguette of your choice
Garlic butter spread

Split the baguette in half lengthwise. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Spread liberally with Garlic Butter Spread. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes to allow the top of the bread to brown and crisp up a bit. Return the bread to the oven for 5 more minutes. Remove and allow the bread to stand for about 5 minutes before cutting thick slices…. and of course then taking a big bite 🙂

Garlic Butter Spread
1/2 stick of butter (4 Tablespoons)
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 Tablespoons cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon finely chopped parsley
1 large clove of garlic, finely minced or grated
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Place butter, olive oil, and garlic powder in a bowl and microwave until butter is melted. (You can also do this in a sauce pan if you prefer). Immediately add cream cheese in small chunks and stir to soften in the hot butter and oil. Add in paprika, pepper, minced garlic, parsley and Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring with a fork to thoroughly bring the mixture together.

Should you have any leftover bread (which is doubtful) you can cut it into small chunks and toast to be used as croutons on your next Caesar salad.

Get your self some steaks, bake some potatoes, toss a simple salad and make this garlic bread so you can have yourself a fine steakhouse dinner right in your own home…Bon Appetit!
