Savvy Secrets – Pool Noodle Part 2

We told you we would have some more fun ideas this week for the simple pool noodle, so here they are!

Who knew there were so many things a little pool noodle was capable of doing 🙂

Cut the noodle the length of the leg of your boots and stuff the boots with the noodle to help them keep their shape while you store them.

Cut a pool noodle to fit your painting tray.  Make a long cut down the length to allow you to fit it over the edges of the tray and then make slits into it to hold your brushes when you aren’t using them.

Make a ring out of a pool noodle by cutting it to a shorter length, then curving it into a circle and using packing tape to fix it in place.  This makes a very good way to hold cake pops as you are making them and needing them to dry, or any other treat that might be on a stick that you want to keep upright until it is ready to be wrapped.

The pool noodle comes through again with a great way to keep fishing rods in a stable and upright position while they are being stored.

Cut bright colored noodles the length of the springs on your trampoline and make lengthwise slits to fit them over the springs.  Festive and functional.

Keep doors from slamming on little fingers with the help of a trusty pool noodle.

Make a lengthwise slit on about an 8 inch piece of pool noodle and then on each end cut out a teardrop shape to help it slide onto the door and fit more snuggly.

Lastly, save all those little bits and pieces of pool noodle you will accumulate while creating these projects.  They make the perfect filler at the bottom of your pots to allow for drainage. The added benefit is that the pots will require the use of less soil to pot those flowers and plants.

It’s the simple ideas and clever uses of things that can bring ease and increase our sense of abundant living as we go about our day to day lives.  Sending you all much love and joy as you start your new week 🙂
