You can thank goats for your favorite sweaters. Cashmere is made from goats used to produce wool, but not just any goat hair will do. Cashmere is specifically harvested from the goats’ undercoats. It’s a laborious process and the goat hair has to be sorted and combed by hand. As a result, it takes more than two goats to produce the average sweater — which explains why they’re so pricey.

Oh golly! Thank you dear goats. Your Two Chums are very grateful for the warmth of their cashmere!
