In A Pickle

The pickle we refer to here is dill pickle dip! If you like dill pickles this may become your new favorite dip.

We first saw the idea of pickle dip on social media. It seemed a bit odd at first, but then maybe so did the idea of onion dip until someone tried it. This was no different. While we didn’t originate the idea, we did come up with our own version that we think is pretty tasty if you are a pickle fan. This is our version of the social media trending Dill Pickle Dip. And if you love fried pickles we will show you how you can easily make this into Fried Pickle Dip. Don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it 🙂

Dill Pickle Dip or Fried Pickle Dip

8 oz room temp cream cheese
1 cup finely chopped dill pickles (in a pinch use dill pickle relish)
1/4 cup pickle juice (less if using pickle relish)
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
1 tablespoon ranch dip powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Beat the cream cheese and pickle juice together and stir in the remaining ingredients. You can eat it right away but it is even better if you store in the refrigerator for an hour before serving.

For Fried Pickle Dip:
1/3-1/2 cup panic bread crumb
1 tablespoon melted butter

If you want to make this Fried Pickle Dip stir together panko and butter and toast in a 350 degree oven until the panko is golden brown. Cool then stir into the dip just before serving. This is delicious with sliced veggies and of course with your favorite chips. Enjoy!
