Eugenie Says “I Do”

Everyone loves a wedding.  Many of us watched the Royal wedding in May, as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married.  Televised Royal weddings usually only come along once in a generation.  We are fortunate enough to have two in one year this year.  This Friday, October 12th, Princess Eugenie, the cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry, and the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York, will marry her long time boyfriend, John Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. This is the same location as the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.  Britain will be watching, but so can you.  The wedding will be telecast here in the States on TLC.

Some details about the wedding have been released.  The brides sister, Princess Beatrice, will be her maid of honor.  And famed singer, Andrea Bocelli, will sing two songs in the ceremony.  And though we don’t know if he will sing at one of the parties following the ceremony, no Royal wedding would be complete without Sir Elton John being there – so will will be looking for him too.  The bride is expected to wear the tiara her mother wore on her wedding day.

But if not, it suggested she may well wear the tiara of her great grandmother, known as the Queen Mother, with whom she had a very sweet, close relationship.

Prince George will be a page boy and Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid, that alone should be reason enough for most of us to watch 🙂

The bride’s grandmother, the Queen, will host a champagne reception following the ceremony, for the couple and their guests, at St.George’s Hall on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Check your TV provider for the station number of TLC and tune in, or set your DVR.  The coverage is set to start at 4:25 am EST.

Cue the trumpets.  Here comes the bride!
