Come From Away!

The date, September 11th, is forever etched in our minds as one of shock, sadness, and pain.

As Americans and Canadians tend to do, everyone rallied around helping, consoling and loving wherever they could.

In Gander, Newfoundland, many, many planes emergency landed as they were demanded to land at the closest spot to where they were flying.

Gander really was not prepared for this many people but look after them they did!

People opened their homes, school gyms were set up as dormitories, restaurants busied themselves feeding everyone and out of this all, “Come From Away” a musical, was very successfully produced.

We herald those very brave people who stood up to the terrorists on the planes, to the courageous firemen, a lot of whom lost their lives, who charged in to help, and everyone else whose prayers went up.
