Feed Your Soul With Gratitude

G.R.A.T.I.T.U.D.E.

Anyone who knows Two Chums, knows that we value the act of gratitude and find it to be very powerful….

…so powerful that it can turn a dark time totally around.

We charge you all to try it.  Every day, for one week, consciously find one thing to be grateful for.  Dwell on it for a while and REALLY feel gratitude.  You will find that things begin to look very bright.

I remember, many, many years ago, when I was going through a particularly dark period in my life, a dear friend who was trying her best to help me see some light kept asking me to write a list of 10 things that I was grateful for.  At the time, things looked so dark to me that I could think of nothing to put on that list.  Obviously, when I think back, it was TOTALLY absurd as I had so very much to be grateful for.  It was certainly a dark period and took me a while to get past but get past I did and I ended up on the other side of it realizing the importance and power of gratitude.

When one is feeling really grateful for something, one is magnifying the good and not only magnifying it but multiplying it.

As Alphonse Karr so aptly put it, ““We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorns have roses.”

SO, it is a choice.  Either gratitude or complaint.  Which one will you use today?

“GRATITUDE is riches, complaint is poverty.”, the hymn states in my hymnal. I have a book of a gratitude list in my heart. At the top are my TWO CHUMS & their husbands, who mean the world to me and teach me so many things, like reminding me to always be grateful. Therein lies my love and my abundance as well.
