Candied Apple Pops

During the holiday season there always seems to be a reason to get together and so much to celebrate.  Having a treat just feels right as we gather with family and friends.  These Apple Pops are an easy and fun treat that everyone can enjoy 🙂  Who knew that embellishing some apple slices that you put on a stick could make a delicious and fun holiday treat.  And hey…it’s an apple….. so you don’t feel completely guilty eating all this yumminess.

With some white chocolate, and semi-sweet chocolate, some dried cranberries, walnuts, and coconut you can literally transform a thick slice of apple into an amazing treat!  Just slice an apple into 4 or 5 thick slices, (about 1/2 inch each) and insert a candy stick in the end.  Then coat with melted white chocolate.  Sprinkle with cranberries, nuts and coconut and then drizzle with more melted white and semi-sweet chocolate.  Place on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper.  When all you “pops” are done, put them in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden and the “pops” to set up.

This is just our suggestion for making these Apple Pops.  There really is no limit to the combinations you can make.  If it sounds good to you, just try it and then let us know what flavors you came up with for your Apple Pops. You could use melted butterscotch chips and add almonds and crumbled graham crackers, or use peanut butter chips and sprinkle with chocolate chips, and peanut M&M’s.  OR….well you get the idea.  Use your own imagination and just have fun with this.  It’s especially fun to let the kids get involved and “decorate” their own Apple Pop.

And then whatever combo you put together, be sure and enjoy!  Because Love, Joy and Abundant Living are important all year long but never more than when we are gathered together celebrating with family and friends 🙂
