Savvy Secrets – Yes, We Have More!

Yes we do!  Oh, how we absolutely love sharing these helpful hints with all of our Chums.

1.     Baseball cap looking as if it could use a clean?  Put it on the top rack of the dishwasher and send the cycle.  Remove it while it is still wet and place over a bowl to regain its shape…..as good as new!

2.     Organizing your necklaces by hanging them is a great practice but don’t do this with your pearls.  Pearls are strung on a silk thread and will not sustain the weight.

3.     A great way to organize your necklaces so that they do not get tangled is to cut a straw in half and then thread the necklace through the straw.  Fasten the clasp and there you have it!

4.     If you notice that there is condensation under your watch face, try this solution.  Strap the watch around a light bulb and turn the light bulb on.  Within a few minutes, the condensation should disappear.

5.     When ironing your clothing, put a drop of your perfume into the steam iron.  Mixed with the water, it will make your clothing smell lovely.  Obviously, don’t put too much!

6.     Want shinier hair?  After shampooing and rinsing your hair, put the coldest water you can bear onto your hair.  Your hair will be shiny.

7.     When hair is wet, it is much weaker.  Therefore, give your hair extra TLC when it is wet.  Use a wide-toothed comb to get out tangles rather than a brush.

8.     Lipstick on your white blouse just before you want to go out?  Use transparent or masking tape to pull the color off of the blouse.  Sprinkle talcum powder on anything left on the blouse and shake it off.

9.     Had a dinner party and the candle wax dripped down onto your beautiful table cloth?  Simply put the table cloth on the ironing board and put a brown paper bag over the wax.  Now iron the brown paper bag.  The wax will transfer onto the bag.  You may have to move the bag around a few times, ironing each time, until no wax goes on the paper.  Problem solved!

10.    Did the cuffs of your sweaters get stretched out with all the wearing over the winter?  Just wet the cuffs with water and blow dry with your hair dryer on the highest setting until the cuffs are dry.  The heat from the dryer will shrink the cuffs slightly so that they are the size you want them again!

More joy, more love, more abundant living!  Until the next time.
