Queen, King, King, King

This past Saturday, England celebrated Queen Elizabeth’s 89th birthday by having what they call the “Trooping of the Colour”.  And here you have it:  Queen Elizabeth, future King Charles (her son), future King William (her grandson), future King George (her great grandson).

While last Saturday did not mark Her Majesty’s actual birthday, England always celebrates her birthday on the second Saturday in June so that the weather is a little bit more cooperative.  Her actual birthday is April 21 and so would be a tad bit nippy for all of the Royals to parade through the streets of London in open carriages for their public to see and celebrate them.

This represents pomp and circumstance at its finest.  London is so very good at that!  But, despite the over the top military precision and celebration, Prince George was the star of the show.  His little wave was seen by all and could not have been sweeter!

And look at this photo!  This is Prince George’s Daddy in his Daddy’s arms!

Prince George’s outfit mimmicks that of his father over thirty years ago.

Saturday marked Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s first public outing since giving birth to Princess Charlotte.

She certainly is beaming.  Motherhood agrees with her!

Yes, it was quite a royal crowd on the balcony at Buckingham Palace but nothing compared to the crowd looking up at them!

It is wonderful to see Her Majesty The Queen beaming!

She is full, to the brim, with joy!
