What a great list! I am happy to say that my three do most, if not all of these. It takes a lot of time and effort to raise polite children, but well worth the effort!

I’ll never forget sitting next to little 2 1/2 year old Sadie at lunch one day. Her napkin, which she had placed carefully on her lap, slowly slid off on to the floor. As I wondered what she’d do about that, I felt a little hand reach over and surreptitiously move my napkin on to her own lap. She then proceeded to point out to me that MY napkin was on the floor. What a character!
