Let Us Rejoice!

759be0a3fdbf8f564d64a4e9cd4dee5a
How very fitting this is today as we pause to give thanks and express our gratitude to God for all He has done.Psalm 118 verse 24 of the Bible instructs us: “This is the day which the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”  We have so much to be grateful and thankful for….so many reasons to rejoice.

When this video was texted to us yesterday, we knew we had to share it with all our chums, because these two dear ladies have set the bar for rejoicing at an all time high.  Hava Nagila is Hebrew and when translated to English means “Let us rejoice”.

Mary and Helen are lovely ladies who are sisters, ages 92 and 90. In this video you will see that they are using their gifts and talents to entertain and celebrate with some “older” folks at a retirement home and are playing Hava Nagila in honor of the first night of Hanukkah.  They are not Jewish…they are Greek but they are full of life and ready to celebrate with anyone who wants to join them!

We are most thankful for the example that our chums, Mary and Helen are setting.  And we are very thankful for you and the time you take to spend with us, especially today.  May your day be filled with family and friends and fun and of course delicious food.  In the midst of it all, give thanks and remember “This is the day which the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it!”

Happy Thanksgiving,
