A Very Good Start

These little appetizers are creamy, crunchy, sweet and salty and just a little spicy.  Oh and did we mention…just plain DELICIOUS?  Yep, these are simple and simply scrumptous!  Whether you are having chums over for cocktails or just want a new appetizer for a dinner party, these are perfect.  Only 5 ingredients and a very few minutes to a very good start on an evening filled with love, joy and an abundance of bacon 🙂





Bacon Ricotta Bites

Whole milk ricotta cheese
Bacon strips
Hot sauce

Make your crostini by slicing a baguette thinly and lightly toasting the slices in a 350 degree oven.  When they are just barely beginning to brown, remove them from the oven.  Spread with ricotta cheese, top with crisp pieces of bacon, and then drizzle liberally with a mixture of honey and hot sauce.  How much honey and hot sauce will depend on your taste or your guests taste.
